Ethio Telecom Launches 5G in Bishoftu, Paving the Way for Advanced Digital Services
Ethio telecom has announced the commercial launch of 5th generation mobile network service, following the completion of network site installations in various parts of Bishoftu City, located in the Southeast Ethio telecom Region. As a result, our enterprise and individual customers in Bishoftu, particularly in areas such as Kuriftu Water Park, East Industry Zone, Sunshine, Girar Meda, and Yerer Farmers’ Association, can now access the fifth-generation mobile network services.
The 5th generation technology is an advanced 5G wireless network that delivers speeds of up to 10 Gb per second (10 Gbs) and features ultra-low latency, reaching as low as 1 millisecond. The service enables the interconnection of up to 1 million devices per square kilometer, providing the capacity to meet the rapidly increasing data and internet demands of customers.The launch of 5G services will bring significant advantages to our customers by reducing network congestion and enabling seamless, high-quality communication, digital solutions, and financial services.
