Orange RCA has announced that it has become the first mobile operator in the Central African Republic to sign a 4G license with the Ministry of Digital Economy, Posts, and Telecommunications. This milestone marks the beginning of the 4G rollout across the Central African territory, promising a significant impact on service quality and digital access for the entire population.

The launch of 4G will greatly enhance mobile internet, offering speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. Central Africans will benefit from an international standard customer experience.

This project aligns with the Central African Republic’s digital transformation strategy, aiming to bridge the digital divide, improve telecommunications access for all, and boost the country’s economic, educational, and social sectors. The availability of 4G will also enhance the Central African Republic’s economic appeal, facilitating foreign investment and supporting the growth of the local digital ecosystem.

This rollout marks a major step for Orange RCA in its commitment to support the digital development of the Central African Republic by providing high-quality telecommunications services, supporting local innovation, and contributing to the country’s economic growth.

We are proud to collaborate with the Central African government to implement cutting-edge technology that will connect millions of people and support the country’s economic growth. Access to 4G represents a major advancement for the Central African people and responds to a growing demand for connectivity. We are committed to providing a high-quality, reliable, and accessible network for all users across every region of the country.

– Max FRANCISCO, General Manager, Orange in the Central African Republic
