Smart Africa and UN Women Promote STEM Access for Women and Girls in Rwanda

Smart Africa is committed to closing Africa’s gender digital divide through its Smart Women and Girls in ICT Initiative (SWG). Speaking at the “Empowering the Next Generation of Women Innovators” event, held in partnership with UN Women at YouthConnekt 2024 in Rwanda, Rym Jarou, PMP, Unit Manager of Technology Driven Entrepreneurship at Smart Africa, highlighted this dedication.

By increasing access to technology, fostering digital skills, and creating pathways in STEM education and tech entrepreneurship, we aim to equip women and girls to excel in the digital economy.
