Google for Startups Black Founders Fund provides equity-free awards, mentorship, and product support to empower Black-led startups in Africa, fostering growth and community impact.

The Google for Startups Black Founders Fund: Africa offers equity-free cash awards and essential support to empower Black entrepreneurs as they build and expand their businesses. This initiative aims to address funding gaps and drive growth for startups across the continent.

Since its launch in 2020, the fund has awarded more than $30 million to Black-led startups in Africa, Brazil, Europe, and the United States. By providing critical financial access, the program supports community development and fosters generational change among underserved groups.

Beyond the cash awards, Black Founders Fund recipients benefit from ongoing mentorship with Google experts, Google Cloud credits, and product support. This holistic assistance is designed to guide startups through each stage of their journey, helping them overcome challenges and achieve sustainable growth.
