Ghana’s Minister of Communications announces an ICT lab for Bouya, enhancing digital skills, e-learning, and connectivity, aligned with national goals for innovation and economic growth.

The Minister of Communications and Digitalisation has revealed plans to establish an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lab in the Bouya Community, a move that will bridge the digital divide and promote ICT literacy among residents.

During a recent visit to commission rural telephony sites in the area, the Minister emphasized the importance of digital inclusion in driving socio-economic development.

The ICT lab will provide residents with access to:

  1. Digital Skills Training: Enhancing employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.
  2. E-Learning Platforms: Expanding access to quality education.
  3. Online Resources: Connecting residents to global information and services

The Minister’s announcement is a welcome development for the Bouya Community, which has been awaiting this vital resource. The ICT lab will complement the newly commissioned rural telephony sites, further enhancing the community’s connectivity and digital capabilities.

This initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision to leverage technology for national development. By investing in ICT infrastructure and digital literacy programs, Ghana is poised to become a hub for innovation and economic growth.
