Somalia Advances Connectivity with National Fiber Optic Policy Discussions

Somalia’s Communication Ministry hosted a two-day meeting on a unified Fiber Optic Policy, focusing on reducing costs, modernizing the economy, and improving nationwide connectivity.

Director General of Ministry of Communication & Technology Mr. Abdi Casiis Duwane has opened a meeting on the united Fiber Optic Policy that will last for two days.
The meeting was held by the ministers of regional states, Ministry of general works and rehabilitation, Ministry of energy and water resources, Ministry of environment and climate change, National telecommunication companies and leaders from the SHIP project.
The meeting that was organized by the Ministry of Communication and Technology of Somalia government had a strong discussion and analysis on the first day the members who participated in the discussion and made fruitful debate.
The Fiber Optic Unit Policy is a policy that will lead the country to avoid the installation and expansion of Fiber Optics, which will reduce Fiber Optical expenditure, and will provide the opportunity for modern economy, and connect the country.
