The National Economic Council urges Nigerian states to adopt NASENI's innovations, such as electric vehicles and solar systems, to accelerate industrialization and foster sustainable economic growth.

In a bid to accelerate Nigeria’s industrialization, the National Economic Council (NEC) has urged state governments to adopt innovations developed by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), NASENI Watch has reported .

Mr. Halilu showcased NASENI’s advancements, including electric vehicles, solar home systems for rural electrification, and coal-based fertilizers to boost agricultural output. The agency is also pursuing key initiatives such as the NASENI Troment vaccine factory, renewable energy parks, and sustainable housing projects.

With $3.23 billion in investments attracted, the Council praised NASENI’s efforts and directed the establishment of lithium battery factories and tractor repair facilities under the National Asset Restoration Programme. NEC emphasized partnerships with states and the private sector to unlock Nigeria’s industrial potential and ensure sustainable economic growth.
