Kenyan Parliament to Receive Finance Committee’s Tax Reform Proposals

The Finance Committee, after nationwide public hearings and overnight deliberations, is set to table its report on the Tax Laws and Procedures Amendment Bills, 2024.

The Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning Hon. Francis Kuria Kimani is set to table the report of the Committee’s Consideration of the Tax Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024 and the Tax Procedures (Amendment) Bill 2024.

The Committee which has processed eight Bills in a record two weeks; including conducting public participation in seven counties on six Bills, sat through last night till 5.00am this morning to comb through the report in readiness for its tabling.
The report incorporates views of the members of public who gave out submissions on the Bills during the public hearings, as well as responses on the views not carried.
