Google appoints Kabelo Makwane as South Africa’s country director, succeeding Alistair Mokoena in January 2025.

Several reports have confirmed that Google has named Kabelo Makwane as its new country director for South Africa, effective January 6, 2025.

According to the reports, Makwane takes over from Dr. Alistair Mokoena, who reportedly led the company from April 2020 to July 2024.

This leadership transition reportedly marks a significant moment for Google South Africa as it continues its mission to drive digital transformation and innovation in the region.
