Morocco to Launch 5G for AFCON 2025 and FIFA 2030

Morocco’s 5G rollout will enhance connectivity, media, and smart stadiums, aligning with hosting AFCON 2025 and FIFA World Cup 2030.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Morocco’s Minister of Digital Transition, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, has launched 5G internet to support the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

According to the reports the rollout aims to enhance connectivity, improve media broadcasting, and enable smart stadiums, showcasing Morocco’s commitment to innovation. These sources reported that this step aligns with the country’s broader digital transformation strategy, boosting economic growth and global competitiveness while enhancing the spectator and tourism experience.

With 5G deployment, Morocco is positioning itself as a leader in merging technology and infrastructure for major global events.
