CITRA investigates a cable disruption affecting Kuwait's internet, monitors repairs, and promotes alternative safeguards to ensure reliable service quality.

The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) published a clarification about the internet services in the country that were affected yesterday for one of the telecom companies due to a disruption in one of the seven international cables connecting Kuwait to the global internet network. The authority is closely monitoring the affected company’s efforts to repair the damaged cable to ensure the service is restored to normal as quickly as possible.

CITRA is also conducting an investigation with the company to ensure necessary measures are taken in the future, including reliance on alternative cables to utilize the available network and prevent the recurrence of such incidents. The authority reaffirms its commitment to monitoring the performance of telecom companies to ensure the highest level of service quality for all users.
