stc and Ooredoo Oman partner on SONIC, a high-capacity digital corridor linking Saudi Arabia and Oman, supporting connectivity, investment, and Vision 2030.
stc group and Ooredoo Oman have signed the Head of Terms to establish the Saudi-Omani Network infrastructure Corridor (SONIC), a strategic initiative set to enhance regional connectivity and drive the digital transformation of the ICT ecosystem.
Highlights of the Head of Terms between stc and Ooredoo Oman:
- Aligning with Saudi vision 2030, this project comes with the support of the Kingdom’s government (under the umbrella of Shareek program).
- Linking the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia to the Arabian Sea in Sultanate of Oman through the ecosystem of landing stations and data centers.
- Delivering diversified, low-latency, fully protected high-capacity solutions for enhanced digital ecosystem within the region.
