CBN Pushes for Local Sourcing in Telecoms to Strengthen Economy

CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso urges Nigeria’s telecom sector to localize supply chains, reduce foreign exchange reliance, and enhance economic stability.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, has urged the telecommunications sector to strengthen backward integration, Punch Newspaper has reported.

According to the report, this is to be done by localizing key supply chains.

Reportedly, he emphasized the need to reduce reliance on foreign exchange and enhance domestic production to support economic stability.
