Qatar Strengthens Space Security with Landmark Global Agreement

Qatar’s Telecommunications Regulatory Board and ICC signed an MoU in Geneva to enhance global cooperation on mitigating space communication disruptions.

Eng. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Muslmani, Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Board, signed a memorandum  of understanding with Mr. Mario Manievich, Director of the Office of the Director of the Radio Communications Office of the ICC to enhance global efforts to mitigate the effects of malicious interventions in space communications.
The signing ceremony took place in Geneva, Switzerland, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Hind Abdul Rahman Mohamed Al-Mufattah – Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar at the United Nations Office in Geneva.
The Memorandum of Understanding sets out a framework for cooperation in the field of radio frequency monitoring and solving interventions to support international communications.
