Qvantel Lands Major VEON Contract to Power Global Digital Expansion
Qvantel secures a major contract to manage VEON’s BSS operations, enhancing digital services for 160 million customers across multiple markets.
Qvantel, a front-runner in digital BSS, today announced that it has secured a major contract from global digital operator VEON to provide managed services to run the BSS operations for VEON digital operators. VEON Group companies, including Jazz in Pakistan, Banglalink in Bangladesh and Kyivstar in Ukraine, together serve about 160 million connectivity customers and about 100 million monthly active users of VEON’s digital services.
VEON’s operations cover countries that are home to more than 7% of the world’s population. Beyond mobile and fixed connectivity, VEON serves its customers with financial services, entertainment, education, healthcare and enterprise solutions. The flexibility of Qvantel’s BSS enables VEON operators to quickly develop, launch and monetize a wide range of digital services, which is key to the success of their digital operator strategy.
Qvantel currently provides its digital BSS to VEON’s digital operators. Under the new managed services contract, they will also now provide the operations and support teams to work with VEON teams.
