Accelerating 5G Connectivity: 5G RedCap Product Family

As the demand for 5G applications across diverse use-case scenarios continues to rise, 5G RedCap is poised to become a critical technology for the large-scale deployment of LTE replacements, FWA, MBB, and industrial IoT, with shipment volumes projected to reach tens of millions. TCL continues to lead the charge in 5G innovation, notably with the North American launch of the first commercially available 5G RedCap device, the TCL LINKPORT IK511. Except ideal for consumer and industrial M2M applications, this device is at the forefront of the 5G NR RedCap R17 standard, supporting advanced functionalities such as 5G network slicing and Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC), making it suitable for critical applications like emergency response, industrial AR and more.

Broadening the scope of 5G RedCap, TCL has been planning a family of products, including the TCL LINKHUB HH511 for home and business, the TCL LINKZONE MW511 for mobile use. This expansion showcases TCL’s commitment to delivering versatile and affordable 5G connectivity solutions.

Using the Snapdragon® X35 – the world’s first commercial 5G RedCap chipset compliant with Release 17 standards – TCL aims to democratize 5G technology, promoting widespread adoption across all sectors. This collaboration is pivotal in advancing the global deployment of next-generation networks and devices.

Driving Smarter Connections: AI-Driven Broadband Solutions

TCL is transforming the network experience with AI-enhanced CPE devices, notably the TCL LINKHUB HH516 5G AI CPE. This device combines advanced hardware with AI technology to significantly optimize network performance. The HH516 features end-to-end AI QoS, boosting throughput for critical applications by over 20% and cutting latency in low-latency scenarios by more than 10%. Its innovative AI ECO mode intelligently adjusts power settings based on usage patterns, reducing power consumption by over 10% compared with standard ECO mode. The router also offers exceptional speeds up to 7.01 Gbps for 5G and dual-band Wi-Fi 7 speeds of 7.2 Gbps, supporting up to 512Wi-Fi connections and up to 13dBi high-gain antennas up to 13dBi. These ensure extensive coverage and swift data transmission – ideal for high-demand activities like video conferencing, streaming, and online gaming.

TCL is dedicated to continuously improving these AI-powered features through ongoing training of both cloud-based and on-device AI models. Looking ahead, TCL plans to expand these AI innovations across a wider range of products, aiming to establish a robust portfolio of intelligent broadband solutions. our upcoming Wi-Fi 7 Entry 5G CPE, the TCL LINKHUB HH516L, which is set to launch in H2 2025, will bring AI capabilities even to entry-level 5G CPEs. Additionally, our Fiber Home Gateway series products will also benefit from AI enhancements in the future, creating a comprehensive portfolio of AI-driven broadband solutions. This will allow AI to benefit more people and places, inspiring smarter connections.

Connect For Green: Our Sustainability Commitments

TCL is dedicated to aligning technological innovation with environmental responsibility, making sustainability a central aspect of its mission. This dedication is underscored by achieving significant certifications and reports, including the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a Gold Medal from EcoVadis (Top 2% of all companies, and top 1% in telecom product manufacturers), and a rating of B in the Climate Disclosure Project (CDP) (the best of ‘Management Band’).

The company has implemented several ECO initiatives across the entire product lifecycle, including the capability for product using 40% bio-based plastics or 95% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics, and the integration of recycled metals for components.

In product design and usage, TCL focuses on ease of disassembly, repairability, and refurbishment, effectively extending product lifespans and minimizing plastic waste. The integration of ECO mode and AI ECO mode in devices optimizes power use, conserves energy, and enhances device longevity during the usage phase.

Looking ahead, TCL will consistently integrate eco-friendly initiatives across the entire product lifecycle, committed to creating environmentally responsible products that align with global sustainability goals.
