Kenya and Malaysia Strengthen ICT Ties in High-Level Talks

Kenya and Malaysia reaffirm ICT cooperation, discussing tech investments and digital transformation to deepen economic ties and foster innovation-driven growth.

The Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, Hon.William Kabago Gitau hosted  Malaysia High Commissioner to Kenya H.E Mr. Ruzaimi Mohamad to deliberate on areas of partnership within the ICT sector.
Hon. Kabogo and H.E. Mohamad discussed areas of mutual interest in the field of tech innovations and investment.
Malaysia and Kenya have enjoyed long diplomatic relationship, that over the years seen the two countries benchmark and exchange ideas on policies, and deepened the economic ties.
The Malaysia-Kenya Tech Symposium, an event that brings together Malaysian and Kenyan tech companies to discuss digital transformation and collaboration, was held in November 2024.
CS Kabogo noted that the two countries will build on already established momentum to create grow more economic opportunities within the technology sector.
