Monogoto integrates Aether to enhance private 4G/5G networks with improved management, APIs, QoS monitoring, and developer-friendly cloud-based connectivity solutions.

Monogoto, a leading provider of cloud-based cellular connectivity, is excited to announce at MWC Barcelona (Booth 5I51) its adoption of the open-source Aether project, a leading-edge cloud platform for 4G and 5G private networks. As part of this collaboration, Monogoto is integrating Aether into its global connectivity cloud, providing developers with a powerful new component to establish and manage private 4G and 5G networks with ease.

Over the past few years, Monogoto developed numerous enrichments and enhancements and plans to contribute them back to the Aether open-source community. These advancements enable new use cases, improved network management, and enhanced quality of service (QoS) monitoring, making private network deployments more accessible, easier to manage, and efficient.

Advancements by Monogoto

Monogoto’s contributions to Aether fall into three main categories:

  • Advanced Use Cases & Expanded Radio Support:
    ○  Enabling NB-IoT and Cat-N support, allowing sub-GHz radios to function with Aether, broadening its applicability for IoT deployments.
  • Simplified Network Management:
    ○  Addition of over 50 new APIs to streamline configuration, monitoring, and operation of private networks.
    ○  Capabilities to retrieve Call Detail Records (CDRs) and manage active radios, SIM cards, and network performance from a centralized interface.
  • Enhanced Quality of Service & SLA Monitoring:
    ○  Tools to measure network SLA, radio performance, and backhaul efficiency, ensuring high-quality connectivity for enterprise deployments.

As part of Monogoto’s developer-first approach, the company is offering a free subscription tier to its cloud, empowering developers to test and deploy private networks using Aether with Monogoto’s SIM and eSIM capabilities.

Commitment to Open Source

Monogoto is planning to release its contributions back to the Aether community. The company also has a GUI, APIs, and features self-service to enable businesses to seamlessly deploy private networks with Aether, manage SIMs, and integrate with public connectivity where needed.

Executive Quote

We are big believers in the open source community, and we are very proud to adopt Aether and give back to the community. As connectivity use cases become more complex, private networks are becoming a key part of the equation. We believe that with Aether, companies can offload some use cases from traditional cellular or Wi-Fi to a lower latency, more secure, and easily manageable network with a better SLA.

Maor Efrati, Co-Founder and CTO, Monogoto

We are thrilled to see Monogoto adopt and contribute to the Aether open source platform. Monogoto’s enhancements are a testament to the collaborative power of open source development. Their contributions will significantly benefit enterprises deploying private 4G and 5G networks, bringing accelerated ease of management, performance, and scalability to the Aether community.
