Huawei unveiled AI-driven carrier transformation, ISP innovations, and smart power solutions at MWC 2025, redefining digitalization with cloud, 5.5G, and FTTO.

At MWC Barcelona 2025, Huawei showcased its latest advancements in AI, cloud, and next-generation connectivity, reinforcing its commitment to driving digital transformation across industries.

Thrive with Digital, Accelerate Electric Power Intelligence

During MWC Barcelona 2025, at the Huawei Electric Power Summit under the theme of “Thrive with Digital, Accelerate Electric Power Intelligence”, Huawei unveiled a collaborative platform for the IEEE P2413.2 PDIoT Reference Architecture Standards. Industry experts and leaders from international standards organizations shared their latest research findings and successful practices to drive digital transformation in the power sector.

Innovating with AI: Drive Techco Value Creation to New Heights

James Chen, President of Huawei Carrier Business, delivered a keynote speech “Innovating with AI: Drive Techco Value Creation to New Heights”. Chen pointed out that transformation is not the end. The ultimate goal of transformation is to create value.

With the rapid development of technologies such as 5.5G, cloud, and AI, carriers are transforming from traditional connection service providers to digital service providers. Huawei proposes the “Five Ones” capability model to facilitate the carrier transformation to technology companies (techcos). This will help carriers reshape business, operations and maintenance (O&M), and infrastructure, and better enable them to seize the opportunities of transformation and continuously create value.

ISP Business Success Driven by RAMS white paper

At MWC Barcelona 2025, Huawei unveiled the ISP Business Success Driven by RAMS white paper (RAMS stands for ROI, Availability, Maintenance, and Security) and the Brazilian GIGA+ global online showcase, marking a significant step forward for ISPs/MSPs in their pursuit of green, efficient, and intelligent development.

Mr. York Yue, Vice President of Huawei and President of the ISP Business Unit, emphasized in his session speech: ” As AI-powered services such as ChatGPT and DeepSeek experience exponential adoption, end customers demand real-time cloud-device synergy. In response, Huawei collaborates with customers and partners to engineer intelligent RAMS architecture. This integrated framework delivers fast and stable resources encompassing network pipelines, storage, and data centers. By implementing this architecture, ISPs and MSPs can achieve enhanced ROI while delivering fast and stable services.”

Installation Process and Construction Guidance for Passive Optical LAN

During the MWC Barcelona 2025, Huawei released the Installation Process and Construction Guidance for Passive Optical LAN white paper. This document standardizes the fiber to the office (FTTO) network construction process, aiming to improve the FTTO construction quality and promoting FTTO applications around the world.

As digitalization picks up speed, the FTTO solution plays a key role in smart campus network construction thanks to its high bandwidth and low latency. By integrating with cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cloud computing, IoT, and big data, FTTO can realize efficient data exchange and provide users with better network services. Currently, the entire industry is heavily investing in FTTO network construction, with new application scenarios continuously emerging.
