Zimbabwe’s ICT Minister Engages in High-Level Discussions at MWC 2025

Zimbabwe’s ICT Minister joined MWC 2025 discussions on AI, cybersecurity, and connectivity, highlighting Zimbabwe’s role in expanding school internet access.

Zimbabwe’s Minister of ICT, Hon. Tatenda Mavetera has announced that she participated in key discussions at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona.

Key highlights included Zimbabwe’s selection for the GigaProject, an initiative aimed at expanding school connectivity through solar power and internet access. The Minister also engaged in discussions on AI, cybersecurity, and public-private partnerships to drive innovation, job creation, and economic growth in the digital sector.

She further announced that she was part of the panel discussions with ministers from Uzbekistan, Madagascar, and Malaysia sharing various insights.
