CRA Invites Public Input on New Submarine Cable Landing Station Access Regulations
CRA invites public consultation on updated submarine cable landing station access regulations, shaping the future of international connectivity standards in Qatar.
The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has launched a public consultation on the Standard Offer for Access to Submarine Cable Landing Station (SCLS) International Connectivity Services Regulation and Guidelines for Standard Offer for Access to Submarine Cable Landing Station (SCLS) International Connectivity Services and invites stakeholders and concerned parties to provide their views and comments.
The purpose of this consultation is to present the updated version of the draft offer (to be issued by CRA Regulation) and related guidelines document, which have been refined based on the initial public consultation response on the “CRA Reference Offer for Access to Submarine Cable Landing Station International Connectivity Services. The draft documents are developed based on the assessment carried out by CRA on access to international connectivity through SCLSs and propose SOA for SCLS to be required from all licensed owners of SCLS that provide access to international connectivity services.
Comments should be submitted by email no later than March 23, 2025, to (raconsultation@cra.gov.qa) in format provided in the Annex of the Consultation document.
