Nigeria plans a $2B, 90,000km fibre optic rollout by Q4 2025, backed by World Bank, AfDB, and Islamic Bank to boost connectivity.

The Federal Government has set the fourth quarter of 2025 as the target for deploying a $2 billion, 90,000km fibre optic cable network across Nigeria, Guardian Nigeria  has reported.

According to the report, the project has secured financial backing from key global institutions, including the World Bank, the African Development Bank (AfDB), and the Islamic Development Bank.
