The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has launched the Universal Service Fund (USF), a major initiative aimed at enhancing digital inclusion and bridging the country’s connectivity gap.
The announcement by CRAN mentioned that this initiative underscores its commitment to ensuring connectivity is accessible to all.
Dr. Tulimevava Mufeti, CRAN Board Chairperson, highlighted that “connectivity is no longer a luxury but a lifeline.” The USF is designed to close gaps in access to essential telecommunications services, especially in underserved areas.
