Airtel Kenya & Google Team Up for Seamless Google Play Payments

Airtel Kenya  has announced a strategic partnership between Google and Airtel Money. The partnership will enable Airtel Money customers to conveniently and securely make payments for Google Play purchases directly from the Airtel Money wallet. This provides a simple and streamlined payment option for customers’ favorite online applications.

Currently, Airtel Money is the only mobile money wallet option integrated on Google Play, exemplifying Airtel Money’s commitment to distinguish itself in the mobile money landscape through various innovative and unique services enhancing user experience and customer value.

Worth noting is that payments for Google Play applications through Airtel Money will not attract any transaction fees.

Speaking during the official announcement of the partnership, Airtel Money MD Anne Kinuthia Otieno, MBS highlighted that Kenya is a mobile money vast economy and through the partnership with Google , Airtel Money is ensuring the provision of choice, convenience, value and flexibility to Kenyans across different payment ecosystems.
