Axian Telecom commits $82M to expand 4G in Madagascar, Comoros, and Tanzania, aiming for 97% coverage and connecting 6 million people.

International Telecommunication Union has announced that American Telecom will invest USD 82 million to expand 4G in Madagascar, Comoros & Tanzania.
This is a part of Axian Telecom’s Partner2Connect Pledge. This investment will go towards strengthening digital infrastructure in remote areas, connecting 6 million unconnected, and reaching 97% of population coverage by 2030.
The Partner2Connect Digital Coalition (P2C) is ITU’s global alliance to mobilize and announce new resources, partnerships, and commitments for universal, meaningful connectivity. P2C drives digital transformation across all countries, with special attention to the hardest-to-connect communities, particularly in Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
