SMART Zambia enhances trade efficiency by deploying internet access points at Nakonde border, improving ZRA’s cargo clearance and aligning with Zambia’s digital vision.

In a bid to enhance trade facilitation and revenue collection, the SMART Zambia Muchinga Province team has successfully deployed six internet access points at the Nakonde border post.
This initiative aims to enhance internet connectivity for the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) operations, streamlining cargo clearance and efficiency.
According to Principal ICT Officer Mr. FRANCIS HACHOOMBWA, the newly installed access points will significantly boost internet connectivity at the border post, facilitating faster and more efficient clearance of cargo.
The SMART Zambia team collaborated with Mr. Dennis MACHAYA, ICT Officer at ZRA Nakonde, to ensure seamless implementation. Meanwhile, Mr. CHIMUKA CHINDONGWE, Assistant Commissioner at ZRA, commended the SMART Zambia team for their outstanding work.
This development is part of Zambia’s broader efforts to leverage technology and improve trade facilitation, aligning with the government’s vision to enhance regional trade and economic integration.
