MTN Wins Legal Battle as Cameroon Court Unfreezes Bank Accounts
A Cameroon court has ordered the release of MTN’s $23M bank accounts, frozen since 2022 due to a loan dispute.

A Cameroonian appeals court has ruled in favor of MTN , ordering the release of the South African telecom giant’s bank accounts, Reuters has reported.
The bank accounts had been frozen since 2022. Reuters confirmed that a court order that had blocked access to accounts holding 14 billion CFA francs ($23.2 million) in September 2022.
The dispute reportedly had posed financial challenges for the company’s operations in the country.
