Johannesburg has taken a major step toward digital inclusion with the launch of free Wi-Fi at Rea Vaya stations, enhancing urban mobility.

Commuters can now connect to the “Joburg Free Wi-Fi” network, transforming transit time into an opportunity for productivity, entertainment, and seamless information access.

The initiative, spearheaded by the city’s digital infrastructure arm, MTC, is part of a broader effort to modernize public services. With 35 stations already equipped and further expansion underway, the project is building a more connected and digitally inclusive urban environment.
