MTN Lights Up Rural South Sudan with Free Solar Charging
MTN South Sudan deploys free solar charging units in rural areas, empowering underserved communities with sustainable power, digital access, and inclusion.

MTN South Sudan is reinforcing its commitment to rural connectivity and digital inclusion by distributing 100 solar charging units to underserved communities. This initiative bridges the energy gap, ensuring residents can stay connected by providing free and sustainable power solutions.
Equipped with 12-volt batteries and approximately 280 kilowatt-hours (KWh) of capacity, these units will enable individuals to charge mobile phones, laptops, and essential devices. By offering free access to solar-powered charging, MTN South Sudan is accelerating both digital and financial inclusion, empowering communities with uninterrupted connectivity.
This initiative is a testament to our dedication to connecting South Sudan. By providing free solar charging, we are breaking down barriers to communication and financial services, ensuring no one is left behind in the digital age.
