YouTube has increased Premium prices in South Africa, citing inflation and tax shifts; individual and family plans rise sharply.

Google  has raised Premium subscription rates in South Africa, with individual plans increasing by 14% and family plans seeing a 36.4% jump, Multiple reports online have confirmed.

The price adjustment affects both new and existing subscribers.

According to YouTube’s Help Center, the company periodically reviews its pricing structure to reflect market conditions, including inflation and changes in local taxes.

Current subscribers will not face service disruptions due to the change unless they choose to cancel. However, in some regions, users may need to accept the updated pricing to continue their Premium membership.
