With an equity-free prize pool of $110,000, the competition invites entrepreneurs across the continent to pitch their innovative solutions to a global audience of investors and tech leaders.

Africa’s largest early-stage startup pitch competition, the Supernova Challenge 2.0 , is set to take center stage at GITEX Africa 2025 in Marrakech, Morocco. With an equity-free prize pool of $110,000, the competition invites entrepreneurs across the continent to pitch their innovative solutions to a global audience of investors and tech leaders.
Inspired by Expand North Star Dubai, the world’s largest startup event, the Supernova Challenge at GITEX Africa is fast becoming a launchpad for Africa’s next generation of tech disruptors. Unlike previous editions, this year’s challenge will not feature sector-specific categories. Startups will be judged on a broad range of criteria by a dedicated selection committee, with additional Special Mention and Sponsored Awards available through the Exhibitor Portal.
Supernova 2.0 promises to be a defining moment for visionary startups eager to gain visibility, funding, and strategic partnerships on an international stage.
