Namibia Launches NAM-CSIRT to Bolster National Cybersecurity

Namibia has launched NAM-CSIRT with N$20 million funding to protect national digital infrastructure and respond swiftly to cyber threats.

Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has announced the official launch of the Namibia Cyber Security Incident Response Team (NAM-CSIRT), marking a significant milestone in strengthening the nation’s digital infrastructure security.
With N$20 million in seed funding from the Ministry of Information & Communication Technology (MICT), NAM-CSIRT will serve as Namibia’s frontline defence against cyber threats, ensuring a secure digital environment for citizens, businesses, and government operations.
