Kenya and Germany held discussions to boost cooperation in AI, digital transformation, tech regulations, and outsourcing ahead of next month’s summit.

Kenya and Germany are working towards enhancing collaboration in the areas of regulations, emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), business outsourcing and digital transformation.
Earlier today, a delegation from the German Embassy Nairobi led by Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kenya H.E. Sebastian Groth paid a courtesy call on Information, Communications and the Digital Economy CS Hon. William Kabogo Gitau at the Ministry’s Headquarters.
They discussed how the two nations can enhance collaboration in sharing knowledge and experiences considering that the pace at which technology is developing requires constant benchmarking and sharing of ideas.
Notably, both nations are already working together in many fronts and are looking forward to having another round of Digital Dialogue with German delegation next month during the Connected Africa Summit 2025.
CS Kabogo recognised the key role played by the German government in the development of Kenya’s AI Strategy, which was launched last month. They also discussed how to bring the private sector on board in order to get economic dividends out of the growing partnership.
Also in attendance were; GIZ Program Director, Christin Schulz Kaunga and Delegierte, Delegation der Deutschen Wirtschaft fur Ostafrica, Dr. Monika Erath.
