ARPTC Seeks Broader Input on 5G Rollout in Congo
DRC’s ARPTC has extended its 5G public consultation to April 30, aiming to gather broader input for an inclusive roadmap.

The ARPTC is extending the public consultation period for the introduction of 5G in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Initially scheduled for March 3 to April 2, 2025, this consultation will now continue until April 30 2025.
This initiative aims to gather input from digital stakeholders to develop an inclusive roadmap for the deployment of 5G.
This consultation takes the form of a questionnaire to which stakeholders would like to respond within 60 days.
The questions are grouped into 6 main categories in order to reach the greatest number of actors working within the Congolese digital ecosystem:
- Uses and players in the 5G ecosystem;
- The economic aspects
- The maturity of the Congolese digital market;
- 5G networks and frequency spectrum;
- Sharing infrastructure and access to the public domain;
- Licensing obligations
Each category of questions is preceded by a context to allow stakeholders to define the content of the questions and answer them clearly and concisely.
