IXPN hits 1Tbps peak traffic, marking a major digital milestone and strengthening Nigeria’s internet with faster, cheaper, and more efficient connectivity.

Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria has announced that they have hit a historic peak traffic of 1 Terabit per second (1Tbps). The company stated that this achievement is a testament to the growing strength of Nigeria’s digital ecosystem, the increasing reliance on local interconnection, and the unwavering trust of their members and partners.
The company announcement stated that this means more efficient data exchange, reduced latency, lower connectivity costs, and a more robust internet experience for millions across Nigeria.
To our community of ISPs, content providers, CDNs, and stakeholders, thank you for making this possible. Together, we’re building a stronger, faster, and more connected Nigeria.
