Oman Telecom Sector Surges: Mobile Subscriptions Up 7% in 2024

Oman’s telecommunications industry posted strong growth in 2024, with a 7% increase in mobile subscriptions and expanded broadband access.

Oman’s telecommunications sector has shown robust growth in 2024, with significant improvements across key performance indicators, Oman Observer  has reported.

The report stated that the Mobile subscriptions in Oman reached 7.5 million in 2024, reflecting a 7 percent year-on-year increase from 6.9 million in 2023. Additionally, fixed broadband subscriptions saw a modest growth, rising to 573,000, up 2 percent from 562,000 the previous year.

These figures underscore the continued expansion and development of the telecommunications landscape in the Sultanate.
