Uganda Moves to Protect Telecom Towers from Vandalism

President Yoweri Museveni pledges to classify telecom towers as critical infrastructure to prevent vandalism and ensure reliable communication across Uganda.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has pledged to designate telecommunication towers as critical national infrastructure to curb ongoing vandalism that disrupts communication services across the country.

The announcement was made during a meeting with officials from the Ministry of ICT and National Governance , alongside representatives from American Tower Company (ATC). 

The move aims to strengthen protections around telecom infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted digital connectivity in Uganda.
