Uganda in Starlink’s Sights as President Yoweri K. Museveni Hosts Key Meeting

President Yoweri K. Museveni met Starlink reps to discuss providing low-cost internet in Uganda, sparking interest in the company’s potential entry.

President Yoweri K. Museveni has announced  a productive meeting with representatives from Starlink, Ben MacWilliams and Brandi Oliver. The delegation was introduced by Ambassador Adonia and Ambassador Popp.

The President expressed appreciation for Starlink’s commitment to providing low-cost internet services, particularly in hard-to-reach areas of Uganda. He also welcomed the company’s intention to establish a presence in the country.

President Museveni affirmed the government’s support for initiatives that improve connectivity and digital inclusion across Uganda.
