Telkom to Implement 5% CPI-Based Mobile Tariff Hike in June 2025

May 6, 2025
1 min read
Author: Aayushya Ranjan

Telkom will apply an average 5% CPI-based increase to select mobile plans from June 2025, excluding device and VAS fees.

Telkom has announced that, effective 1 June 2025, most of its mobile voice and data subscription plans will be subject to a tariff increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Affected plans include FreeMe, Telkom FlexOn, Telkom Infinite, legacy post-paid tariffs, roaming data plans such as Mobile Data and SmartInternet, as well as select SmartBroadband and LTE subscription plans.

Customers will notice the impact of the increase on their June 2025 invoices, as Telkom bills subscription fees in advance. This means the updated rates for 1–30 June 2025 will appear on that month’s billing statement.

The average increase will be around 5%, although the exact percentage may vary depending on the specific plan. Telkom clarified that the CPI adjustment applies only to the base subscription fee. Other charges, such as device installment fees and Value-Added Services (VAS), will remain unchanged.
