Zain KSA's Q1 2025 profit rose 39.5% to SAR 93 million, driven by 5G expansion, fintech growth, and digital services.

Zain KSA, the leading telecom and digital services provider in Saudi Arabia, announced its financial results for Q1 2025, reporting revenues of SAR 2.7 billion, a 6.1% year-on-year increase. Net profit surged to SAR 93 million, marking a 39.5% growth compared to the same period in 2024. Profit before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) costs stood at SAR 813 million, a 5.2% increase.

The robust financial results underscore Zain KSA’s sustained operational performance and consistent growth across all business segments. The company’s strategic 5G network expansion has driven increased demand for both individual and enterprise customers, scaling up the digital experience and cementing Zain KSA’s position as the digital provider of choice. Growth was further supported by sustained demand for the digital service Yaqoot and improved return on investments in adjacent markets, particularly in the fintech sector through Tamam.

Our Q1 results demonstrate our strategy’s continued success in delivering an unparalleled user experience in Saudi Arabia’s telecom and digital services market.

We remain committed to investing in next-gen 5G infrastructure and accelerating growth in high-potential digital verticals, in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s ambitious nationwide digital transformation goals.

Our priority is to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of consumers and enterprises alike through integrated, future-ready solutions that drive meaningful impact. This quarter also marked significant progress in our efforts to enhance the digital journey for pilgrims during Ramadan. Earlier this year, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to enhance visitor experiences via the ‘Nusuk Hajj’ platform. Looking ahead to Hajj 2025, we have expanded our partnership with Huawei to co-develop innovative digital solutions leveraging AI and data analytics, to improve service efficiency and ensure a seamless and secure pilgrimage experience. Additionally, Zain KSA continues to build its digital capabilities, leveraging platforms such as Zain Cloud, our robust and fully compliant infrastructure aligned with Saudi Arabia’s regulatory and cybersecurity standards, to empower digital transformation across the public and private sectors. Also, we recently  secured  a license from the Digital Government Authority (DGA) to independently provide comprehensive digital authentication services in the Kingdom.

– Eng. Saad bin Abdulrahman Al-Sadhan, Acting CEO, Zain KSA

Zain KSA made a strong impact at LEAP 2025, announcing strategic partnerships with leading global and regional players. These collaborations are focused on advancing 5G and 5.5G technologies, implementing AI-driven solutions, and boosting cloud computing capabilities. They also reinforce Zain KSA’s commitment to promoting sustainability and green innovation across the telecom and digital services sectors.
