Airtel Nigeria  has announced plans to double its capital expenditure in 2025, aiming to accelerate the rollout of 5G services and extend mobile coverage to underserved rural areas, Punch Newspaper  has reported.

The report stated that Airtel Nigeria will channel the increased spending towards a major network upgrade. This upgrade will include the deployment of new sites, the expansion of its fibre-optic backbone, and the enhancement of existing infrastructure with high-capacity radios.
