stc Bahrain implements a hybrid solar solution at a key telecom site, cutting diesel use by 65% and reducing emissions.

stc Bahrain  has successfully implemented a groundbreaking hybrid solar power solution at one of its key Telecom Base Station Sites. This innovative project marks a significant step towards sustainable telecommunications infrastructure in Bahrain, replacing a traditional diesel generator with a smart, hybrid system that seamlessly integrates solar power, battery storage, and a diesel generator backup.

Aligned with Bahrain’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes environmental protection and renewable energy adoption, stc Bahrain is deeply committed to minimizing its carbon footprint. The newly implemented system intelligently optimizes energy usage by prioritizing solar power, with advanced battery storage ensuring seamless operation. This smart setup reduces diesel generator runtime by approximately 65%, translating to a substantial decrease in carbon emissions and a notable improvement in fuel efficiency. But the benefits extend beyond sustainability.

stc Bahrain’s hybrid solar solution not only significantly reduces reliance on fossil fuels, leading to lower operating costs and a smaller environmental footprint, but also ensures uninterrupted power, even during outages. The system intelligently switches between battery, solar, and diesel sources, guaranteeing reliable service for our customers. This initiative underscores stc Bahrain’s commitment to leading the way towards a greener and more sustainable future for Bahrain. We are at the forefront of innovation, driving positive change and contributing to a more environmentally responsible telecommunications industry.
