Blue Label Telecoms Weighs Strategic Shake-Up, Eyes Cell C Listing on JSE
This initiative is part of Blue Label’s broader strategy to unlock shareholder value by allowing separate assessments of its distribution businesses and Cell C’s telecom operations.

Blue Label Telecoms Limited has announced it is exploring a strategic review and potential restructuring of its group, including a possible listing of Cell C on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).
The proposed restructure aims to optimize Cell C’s capital structure, streamline operations, and improve financial sustainability. It includes key measures such as converting debt into equity and transferring Cell C’s airtime assets from Blue Label’s subsidiary, The Prepaid Company, in exchange for additional equity in Cell C.
This initiative is part of Blue Label’s broader strategy to unlock shareholder value by allowing separate assessments of its distribution businesses and Cell C’s telecom operations.
The restructuring remains subject to necessary board approvals, shareholder consent, regulatory clearance, and favorable market conditions.
Shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in Blue Label’s shares until further updates are provided.
