Smart Africa Pushes for Inclusive Cyber Capacity at GC3B 2025

During the Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building (GC3B) 2025, Lacina Koné, CEO of Smart Africa , met with Mr. Ernest Norman, Ambassador-at-Large for Cyber Affairs at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Their discussions focused on aligning the Netherlands’ Global Gateway-funded cyber capacity initiatives with the Smart Africa Digital Academy (SADA), aiming to foster a secure, inclusive digital future.
Koné also participated in the High-Level Closing Plenary on “Cyber Capacity Forward: Powering Meaningful and Sustainable Results.” The panel highlighted the importance of sustainable, inclusive strategies in strengthening global cyber resilience.
The engagement underscores Smart Africa’s commitment to building robust digital skills and cybersecurity capabilities across the continent.
