Eswatini launches GIYH and TaxPal apps, revolutionizing access to government and tax services with convenience, dignity, and digital inclusion.

Minister of ICT Savannah Maziya has officially launched  the Government In Your Hand Mobile Application, bringing essential public services directly into the hands of emaSwati. This momentous launch was held in collaboration with the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS), who also launched the ERS TaxPal App, a digital solution to revolutionise tax and customs services.

The event was graced by Minister of Finance Neal Rijkenberg, who applauded the vision and collaboration between Government institutions in driving citizen-centered digital innovations.

Minister of ICT Savannah Maziya said that they are restoring the dignity of emaSwati by collapsing barriers of time, distance, and cost, and bringing Government services to the hands of the people. This is not just a mobile App — it is a transformation of how the Government serves.

This App is a game-changer. It brings Government closer. It saves time. It cuts costs. It removes barriers. Most importantly, it restores dignity.

At its heart, it is a simple but transformative idea: that every liSwati should be able to access public services with ease, without long queues, lost time, or unnecessary costs.

Through the GIYH mobile App, emaSwati can already check the status of their IDs, passports, and travel documents. They can register a business name, pay for vehicle licences using Mobile Money, and access educational financing information. These services are just the beginning. Every six months, we will be adding more services, building a comprehensive, one-stop platform for all Government services.

The Government of Eswatini remains committed to ensuring digital inclusion, transforming public service delivery, bridging the digital divide, empowering the young or old and differently abled and creating jobs through innovation. Through GIYH, we are making technology work for the people not the other way around.

– Savannah Maziya, Minister of ICT, Government of Eswatini

I congratulate the Commissioner General and the entire ERS team for continuously finding innovative ways to make compliance effortless. I also commend my colleague, the Hon. Minister of ICT, Savannah Maziya, for delivering the Government in Your Hand App, an interface that will soon host Key Government services in one secure place. Together, these platforms will give taxpayers and citizens an experience that is fast, transparent, and convenient, a living showcase of Nkwe in action.

– Neal Rijkenberg, Minister of Finance, Government of Eswatini

Digitalisation is not merely about adopting new technology, it is about reimagining how we serve. It’s about building trust by making compliance simple, fair, and accessible to all.

– General Brightwell Nkambule, ERS Commissioner
