Aruwa Capital Nears Final Close of Fund II, Showcasing Powerful Impact Metrics

Aruwa’s portfolio companies now serve over 611,000 customers, 63% of whom are women, and have generated $148 million in value chain revenue across agents, retailers, and farmers.

Aruwa Capital Management  has announced it has reached 90% of its target for Fund II at second close, marking a major milestone for the gender-lens investment firm. The update comes alongside the release of FY2024 impact metrics across its 13 portfolio companies under Fund I and II, highlighting both financial performance and transformative community impact.

The firm reports supporting approximately 205,000 direct and indirect jobs, with 2,470 direct roles—42% of which are held by women, and 70% by youth under 35. Additionally, 70% of portfolio companies are women-founded or led, and 33% of equity across them is held by women. Boardrooms also reflect growing diversity, with 37% female representation on average.

Aruwa’s portfolio companies now serve over 611,000 customers, 63% of whom are women, and have generated $148 million in value chain revenue across agents, retailers, and farmers. Operating in 24 countries, these businesses pay up to 15 times the national minimum wage.

As Aruwa approaches the final close of Fund II, the firm reiterates its belief that financial returns and inclusive impact can go hand in hand.
