Absa Group Announces Change in Board Committee and AGM Resolution Withdrawal

As a result, ordinary resolution 5.6—which proposed his re-appointment to the GACC—has been formally withdrawn from the AGM notice. The AGM is scheduled to take place on 3 June 2025.

Absa Group  has announced a key change to its board committees and the withdrawal of a resolution ahead of its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). René van Wyk, who is set to assume the role of Group Chairman on 15 July 2025, has stepped down as a member of the Group Audit and Compliance Committee (GACC) with immediate effect.

As a result, ordinary resolution 5.6, which proposed his re-appointment to the GACC, has been formally withdrawn from the AGM notice. The AGM is scheduled to take place on 3 June 2025.

The announcement  was made on 27 May 2025 in compliance with the JSE Limited Equity and Debt Listings Requirements.
