Asiacell and China Mobile International Partners to Accelerate Iraq’s Digital Transformation

Through shared capabilities and real-world technology use cases, CMI and Asiacell aim to support Iraq’s ambitions for a resilient, future-ready digital economy.

Asiacell Communications  PJSC and China Mobile International Limited (CMI ) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deliver next-generation telecommunications and digital solutions in Iraq. The agreement, formalised on June 2, 2025, marks a pivotal step in enabling B2B growth, modernising key sectors, and advancing Iraq’s broader digital transformation agenda.

The strategic alliance aims to leverage Asiacell’s leadership in connectivity and infrastructure restoration with CMI’s global expertise in enterprise technology and cross-border connectivity. Together, the partners will offer innovative digital solutions designed to empower businesses, improve operational efficiency, and drive economic development.

The partnership will also bolster Iraq’s international connectivity, opening new opportunities for enterprise expansion and regional integration. Through shared capabilities and real-world technology use cases, CMI and Asiacell aim to support Iraq’s ambitions for a resilient, future-ready digital economy.
