This expansion follows a successful pilot site at Kigali Heights in May and strategically extends 5G connectivity to key areas including Gasabo, Nyarugenge, Kicukiro, and Kamonyi.

MTN Rwanda  today announced a significant step in its digital transformation journey with the official launch of 51 live 5G sites across the City of Kigali. During a press conference held earlier this morning, Monzer A., CEO of MTN Rwanda, emphasized that this milestone transcends mere technological advancement.

“This milestone goes beyond technology, it reflects our deep and long-term commitment to advancing Rwanda’s digital transformation agenda. While today’s launch brings 5G to 51 sites across Kigali, our ambition stretches far beyond the capital. We’re committed to expanding this network across the country, ensuring that all Rwandans, regardless of location, can benefit from the transformative power of 5G.”

Monzer Ali, CEO, MTN Rwanda

MTN Rwanda expressed its pride in spearheading the development of a future where innovation, inclusivity, and digital access are seamlessly integrated.
