The donation includes laptops for three schools in the Kavango East Region to enhance digital literacy, sanitary pads for two schools in the Omaheke Region to help keep girls in school, and the establishment of tech hubs at four public libraries equipped with 30 Mbps connectivity.

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN ) has contributed N$320,000 worth of laptops and sanitary pads to schools, tech hubs, and e-villages in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts & Culture.  The donation includes laptops for three schools in the Kavango East Region to enhance digital literacy, sanitary pads for two schools in the Omaheke Region to help keep girls in school, and the establishment of tech hubs at four public libraries equipped with 30 Mbps connectivity.

CRAN CEO, Mrs. Emilia Nghikembua, highlighted the impact of the initiative, stating;

“Education and technology are powerful engines for progress. By providing laptops, we aim to close the digital gap and equip Namibian youth with tools to thrive in a digital world.”

– Mrs. Emilia Nghikembua, CRAN CEO.

The initiative reinforces CRAN’s belief that every young Namibian deserves access to quality education and digital opportunities, regardless of where they live.
